NLCS

So last night the Dodgers played the first game of the NLCS and they lost muffed up big time!

They could have won the game but uncharacteristic mistakes of the Dodgers caused them to lose the game

The final score was 8-6 but there were many times they could have come back and won the game.

Unfortunately they didn't.

I was pissed

I was hurt

I was angry

I've waited 21 years for this and I don't like to lose.

So what did I do?

My twin and I drank a bit, went to get King Taco where we saw depressed Dodgers fans as well and afterwards we went to watch Paranormal Activity.

Now I must say, that movie was fairly interesting and I must recommend people to go watch it!

Nevertheless, at the end of the night, my twin and I were joking about having that shit happen to us hahaha

Today was Game 2 of the Dodgers v Phillies in the NLCS

The Game started off real good.

It was a pitching duel

Pedro had his A game and Padilla only made one mistake.

The game was intense and close

It was the 8th inning and the Comeback kids did again and came from behind to win the game

That made me happy.

Real happy.

Series is tied and now we need 3 more W's and we go to the world series!!

We can do this!!!

I know we can.

If we beat Cliff on Sunday, the series is ours, I promise.

Currently I'm watching the Yankees beat the Angels 4-1 in the top of the 9th and its make me happy!!

Let's go Yankees!!!

Eff the Angels.

I'm telling you.... World Series: Dodgers v Yankees.

Watch

That's all for now.

Today in Sports World...

Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees tied Lou Gehrigs all time hits as a Yankee Record so congrats!

Hopefully he won't go hitless in his next game and actually break the record.

The Colorado Rockies came back in the 9th to win the game against the Reds

The Padres are deciding to play spoiler and defeated the Giants.

The Dodgers are currently tied 3-3 in the bottom 8th against the Diamondbacks

Hopefully they can win the game!

In the world of Basketball,

Apparently Allen Iverson tweeted that he is going to sign with the Memphis Grizzlies..what has this world come to...

and Stephon Marbury is planning on retiring, thank God.

In the world of Soccer,

Argentina lost to Paraguay 1-0, whomp whomp whomp which now means Paraguay is going to the World Cup and Argentina is on the verge of being out.

Mexico defeated Honduras 1-0

United States defeated Trinidad and Tobago 1-0

Costa Rica got stunned by El Salvador in injury time by losing 1-0

Both England and Spain won and are both going to the World Cup as well.

OH and 2mrow.....begins NFL FOOTBALL!!!!

Maybe

Its hard to concentrate when I'm currently watching the FSU v. Miami game.

It's a hell of game.

Any who,

Dodgers defeated the Diamondbacks

Yankees won both games today against the Rays.

It was a good day for me in the world of sports!!!

Well I have to jam because I'm going to try to look for my French book so I will leave you with this:

I want to watch this movie asap!!!

USC v. San Jose St

So yesterday was our first game of the season and I must say....

shit was badass!!!

We started very slow being down by 3 and not scoring till the 2nd quarter but once we scored the first TD, it was automatic.

Plus our defense will picked us up when we were lagging it in the beginning

We end up winning 56-3 and immediately made a statement to the nation that we are ready to challenge for the national title.

The next game is against Ohio St.

Now if we play the way we played in the 1st quarter, we would have a problem but then again, the way Ohio St. played against Navy, we will have no problem against them!

We are going to destroy them!!!

Well I'm currently watching Role Models because I have never seen it so I'll get back to you later.

Sorry for not being able to post these past couple of days, I've just been busy and getting home late but I'll try harder.

P.S. FUCK SAN JOSE ST, hahaha they were such a joke!!!

Second Week of School is done

Before you know it, its gonna be week 15 and I'll be graduating.

damn thats crazy

Any ways, this week was chill regardless of all the hw I had to do,

I've met some pretty cool people so hopefully my networking skills will continue to progress.

Oh and this saturday is the first USC football game of the season!!!

I'm beyond stoked!!!!

On another note:

I'm currently watching the Dodgers game v. Diamondbacks and they need to win this game!

We are supposed to easily beat below .500 teams, I will not tolerate defeat!

This is our year and we need to make sure we have the best record in the NL

Lets do this!!

I did the Impossible!!

I got into my French class which means that I can take my course and will be able to graduate this semester!!

I am beyond stoked!

Fuck yeah!

Any who, I can't write a lot of today because I have a few things to do right now.

I would have done them earlier but my brother wants to win his fantasy football league at work so he wanted me to do it for him.

Of course my expertise doesn't come cheap.

Since his work is doing a money league, I get half of the prize so I'm stoked because I know we are going to win.

Well I got to go because I'm currently doing a market segment grid on the Hookah industry.

Adios

P.S. Let's go Dodgers!

Monday, August 31, 2009

I called it before it happened

I was talking to my buddy (arch rival nemesis) Beto and I had informed him that the Dodgers were going to get Jim Thome.

How did I know this before it happened?

Well my friend who works in the league had sent me a text telling me the Dodgers are making arrangements with the White Soxs, and he basically informed that it was 85% sure it was going to be Jim Thome at first I didn't believe him because I don't understand how it would be possible to have Thome in our squad since its the NL and not the AL

2 hours later, bam!! It happens and I still couldn't believe it, but hey now we got a big bat in our bench. Only to hear 10 minutes later that Jon Garland was going to be part of the Dodgers as well.

The Dodgers are making serious noise in their attempt of making this year THE YEAR.

And that is why I still believe this is our YEAR!!

DODGERS v. Yankees

Watch.

Oh p.s. : FUCK BRAD PENNY- he's a joke and won't do much with the Giants.

Disney buys Marvel....

For about 4 billion dollars.

Not to shabby for a coming who was going to go bankrupt before Stan Lee and his team rescued it.

I'm kind of excited about this acquisition.

I mean as long as Disney doesn't start regulating what exactly Marvel can do and what it can't do, it should be a good thing for the both of them and fans.

What I am extremely excited about is the possibilities of mixing Disney and Marvel characters in a video game.

I mean think about it: if you think Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to be insane, can you imagine a Kingdom Hearts 4?!?!?!?

That shit would be beyond effin amazing and an automatic must buy.

Man this shit is going to get exciting.

I cant wait.

Let's do this already!!!

Sometimes....

the Dodgers beat times and other times they kill them!!!

The Dodgers bounced back from yesterday's defeat and were able to defeat the Red 11-4.

The biggest plus of it all was seeing Manny connect for a homerun in the first inning. Perhaps he is finally coming to form because we will definitely need him in the coming up month.

I'm telling you, nothing is going to stop the Dodgers this year!!!

Some other news today: The Yankees embarrassed the White Sox but only allowing one hit and scoring 11 runs on them

Its good to see the Yankees playing like this. I feel kind of bad for the white sox because I rather see them in the playoffs than the Tigers but we'll see what goes down.

I could have down better but eh, we'll see what goes down.

Yahoo's league draft is next week, which happens to be the official champion match for the year of 2009. Its been an honor to be invited to be in such division but after winning back to back championships, it makes sense.

Fuck that Exam and the Anaheim Angels!!

Today was the day that I had to take my damn French Placement exam.

To be honest, that shit was whack.

So much crazy shit that I was literally lost and for a moment I thought I was taking a japanese exam.

Ima need a miracle to place into my class so make sure you all pray like a bajillion times for me to get the score I need or else ima be fucked!

I feel like I wasted my whole morning/ lunch time because of this exam.

And because of that, I feel exhausted. I need a serious nap but I can't because I have to go to work in like 40 mins.

But before I go, I just want to say fuck the Angels and their attempt at getting Scott Kazmir.

MTV Thursday is here!!!

I must say, if you have given up on MTV because they hardly play music videos any more or just don't plain out watch MTV, I suggest you start watching on Thursday because its jammed packed!!

You start off with Bully Beat Down, which is legit. ( If you read my earlier post, you can get the background about it )

Then it continues with Nitro Circus which seems to get crazier after every episode.

This season there is a new show called Pranked which is hosted by my friends Streeter and Amir so go show them some love because they do a hell of job on their new show.

Which is concluded with the best thing ever: Rob Drydek Fantasy Factory!!

Another season of amazingness!!

What are you waiting for ?!?!?

Go watch!!!

Continuation of the Last Post

Any who, the group project was chilled and the course material seems pretty easy so I'm guessing this semester isn't going to be that bad compared to others.

It does seem that I will be doing more work but I think its an ok thing because of the fact that this is my last semester and I'm heading off to law school which is no joke.

So I guess and early preparation is ok with me.

The Dodgers lost yesterday but they are currently leading 6-1 right now so hopefully they can win tonight.

Well I'm off to look over my old French work so I can perhaps at least gain something from it.

Wish me luck!

I'm all in!

Poker 2night

I have a poker game 2night.

I also have hw to do....French Hw to be exact....which I actually need to do in order to study for my effin placement exam on Friday which I need to do well on!

I'm currently in my last class which is 5 out 5 and I must say, the prof seems chill. Hopefully it's not a mirage haha.

Shit I got a group project right now, brb
ahhhhhh

The Next 2

Today I had my 3 and 4 classes which consist of Real Estate Financing and Management of a Small Business

My Real Estate class seems ok but I was fighting to stay awake which usually means I will be sleeping in that class in the future. Haha o well but the good thing about it is that the professor puts up all her notes online which makes things easier for me!!

It seems like its going to be a challenging class but at least there is no final.

In my Entrepreneurship class, the professor seemed super badass. He is chill and understands us. The best part of it all, there is no mid term and no final!!!! Fuck yeah!! I'm beyond stoked for that!!

Tomorrow I have my last class which is a three hour long Law class =[ epic I know.

The Dodgers just tied the game against the Rockies in the top of the 9th! Thank you Manny Ramirez!

Any who, I received bad news today in my French class when my professor told me my placement exam has expired which means I have to take another one which is not good!

I haven't studied French in 3 years and now I have until Friday 1pm to master French,

I'm fucked!

I seriously need to pull something off in order to pass this shit.

I'll guess we'll see what happens.

One last thing, Like I said in the beginning of the season, the angels signing Bobby Abreu for $5 Million was a steal!

First day....

Today was the first day of my last semester at USC

It was an interesting day to say the least.

In my French class, my professor starts to trip me out when she tells me that my placement exam might have expired and I might need to take a new one...

Thats not good news to me folks.... I mean yeah I could test real good and opt of taking my French class but I haven't take French in 3 years which means that I could possibly place lower which would become a serious problem because I need this class to graduate this semester!!!! =[

Man that ticked me off but hopefully my shit is still valid. I just have to wait it out and hope I can remember all my French again.

My second class was my entrepreneurship one that I tried very hard to get into. It was an interesting class with an interesting professor to say the least. I like the fact that he is straight out blunt which in reality will help out in the real world.

We shall see what happens.

I got 3 more classes tomorrow so we'll see what goes down.

I still get kicks out of the intimidation the professors try to impose on their students the first week of school.

Lol oh well.

I Did it!!

So my previous performance was good enough and I was signed on to the team!! I'm officially playing baseball for the season in Division 2 of the Long Beach league. I'm beyond stoked for this!!

Today we had a game but the best part of it was that we were playing at Blair Field, now if you are not familiar with what Blair Field is, here it is:

The place is straight up legit.

It seriously felt like I was playing pro baseball.

Any who, it was an intense game because the pitcher and me had an exchanging of words- apparently the guy doesn't know how to pitch to someone if they are batting inside and would result to hitting the players. I didn't like that and almost got into with him but he was afraid of the confrontation and I ended up just getting into his head. He end up losing because afterwards his pitches were pretty sad and my team took advantage of it.

Nonetheless, we won the game 8-6. I can't wait to play another game here.

I had a very good game and I was pleased with my performance. It feels good getting back to playing baseball.

On an another note...

Oh and eff the Cubs for ending the Dodgers winning streak!

In less than 30 minutes, the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox will be decking it out. It shall be a badass game.

I'm predicting that there will probably be a clearing of the benches but nonetheless the Yankees will win.

Lets do this!!

Bully Beatdown

Man that show is hilarious.

I can't wait for the next season to come out which is this Thursday.

Thank God this show didn't exist while I was still a bully or else I would have had to go on that show because I'm sure someone would have put me on it.

I'm also excited for the new season of the Fantasy Factory because that shit is hilarious. I mean Rob Drydek is an effin genius!

Nitro Circus is also legit!!

Heres the trailer kids!

Any who, The New York Yankees got destroyed today by the Red sox 14-1 so I guess you can call it payback from last night.

Some good news is that the Dodgers won again which means they now have won 3 straight games, 7 seven more and I'll be happy.

Let's do this!

Great day to be a fan of baseball!

Wow!

The New York Yankees embarrassed the Red Sox at Fenway!!

Final Score: 20-11

That's pretty sad for the Red Sox but it put a smile on my face since I dislike the Red Sox Nation. Yeah I said it! What you gonna do about it?

That division is done, the Yankees are winning it.

The Red Sox better hope they win the wild card but I doubt they will if the Rangers have something to say about it.

The Rangers remind of last years Rays so don't be surprised if they win the wild card!

Also the Red Sox claimed Billy Wagner from the Mets....after their beating by the Yankees, they need all the help they can get.

The Dodgers also had a great game...or should I say the Los Angeles Randy Wolf since Wolf had a spectacular pitching performance and even drove in all the runs to defeat the Cubs 2-1

That's two games in a row for the Dodgers, 8 more for my 10 game win streak!

Lets do this!!

Wow!!!

I must say, Inglourious Basterds was effin amazing!!

It was comical, brilliant and pack with amazing scenes.

The story started off slowing but it immediately picked up when the 2nd chapter came on.

Throughout the movie, people were cheering like crazy in the theater.

Tarantino did fantastic job and you can easily noticed similar methods that he uses throughout his work.

I don't want to go into full detail because I don't want to spoil it for you guys but my favorite scence clearly is how it all ends.

That shit was effin badass

Nonetheless, it's a must see.

I give a 4.5/5

so get off your ass and go watch it!

Tonight....

is the night that I will be going to a midnight viewing of Inglorious Bastards!!

I'm a little tired from work and running but I want to see this movie real bad so I will be going with my twin.

Not quite sure which theater we are going to but they better show the damn previews cause their a few theaters that won't show trailers during midnight viewings. WTF is that about huh?

I mean one of the best part of seeing a movie at the theaters are the effin trailers!!!!

Hopefully tomorrow I will give my review of the movie

Any who, I'm a little annoyed about the Dodgers losing yesterday since it was beyond lame and the fact that both the Rockies and Giants won made it worse.

This shit needs to stop like right now. I need like a 10 game winning streak to kick in.

Or else....

He's Back...and Look Who Ended up Where...

Well well well well, when I retire, I want to be able to retired like 4 times or maybe 6 times just so I can be as cool as those guys who retire only to come back....yeah you know whom I'm talking about...::points at that guy:: Brett Favre is back folks and this time he is wearing purple!

That's right, he has become a Vikings....the arch rival of the Green Bay Packers.

This is a serious deal folks....let me compare this to the baseball world: picture Derek Jeter going to the Red Sox at the end of his contract because the Yankees decided he was not worth it...yeah that's serious.

So you can imagine the crazyness that would occur.

Now I'm super stoked about this because Favre ranks up there in my top 5 favorite football players ever and I was really pissed when the Packers did him dirty. I was excited when he was with the Jets but now I'm beyond excited for his new team. The Vikings haven't had a good passing team since forever and now they have a legit QB and basically have the greatest running back in all of the NFL so this season shall be fun.

I'm definitely waiting for the match up of Vikings v. Packers so keep that day open folks!

The other day I was talking about where John Smoltz might sign...well look what happened....since the Cardinals welcome the notion of allowing Smoltz to start and or be a relieve pitcher, he has decided to sign with the Cardinals.

That means the Dodgers lucked out of getting him =[

O well, we will have to do with what we have especially after we got Vincente Padilla ( I'm a little worried about this one =[ )

Nonetheless, we shall see what happens.

It is Official....

The National League West is now competitive amongst its own and in the NL.

If you look at the records of the Dodgers, Rockies and Giants, you are basically seeing the best teams of the National League sans the 1st place teams of the East and Central Division.

Nonetheless, its has become a fact that the Dodgers seriously need to step into a new gear and start a winning streak because both the Rockies and the Giants are on their tail.

Any misfortune right now can cause some serious trouble to the Dodgers so I think I should call Joe Torre and give him a motivation speech to pass on the players because this shit is ridiculous. How is it possible that we had the best record in all of MLB and now we are playing sloppy and putting ourselves in danger?

That is unacceptable and must change immediately.

Correction: Will Change Immediately!

According to a few friends of mine in the business informed that many NL Gms believe the Rockies are going to take the West....I call that boulderdash and would like to know the names of the GMs so I can slap them with my Dodger dog and put them in their place.

Now I'm not knocking on Rockies nor the Giants since they are both playing very good baseball but....

This is our year and the Dodgers are going to win it all.

Future HoF John Smoltz

Well well well, look who we have here?

SP/RP John Smoltz and he's available to sign onto any team he wants.

Where is he going to go?

Many experts believe that he will end up in the National League but I would like to go into a deeper analysis as to where exactly he might end up at.

But before I get into it, let me give you a heads up and informed that I do have sources (who work for the league) who let me know the 411 of what's going on so that means, just like the guys from Baseball Tonight, I know the same people they know.

So lets begin.

Before John Smoltz had gone to the Red Sox, he was the SP/RP of the Atlanta Braves and the only two reason why he left the Braves was because they were not giving him the money he wanted and he wanted to be a full time starter.

With that said, before John Smoltz was designated for assignment, he was asked if he wanted to be part of the relief rotation but he refused because he still thought he had something left in the tank. Therefore, any team that is inquiring about should know that he wants to be a starting pitcher and it will be rare if he decides to become a relief pitcher for a new team.

Now according to my sources, there are three actual teams that are in serious talks with Smoltz and those three teams are: The Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco Giants.

The Dodgers desperately need a new pitcher and Smoltz fits that need. It is understood that the Dodgers were the first to contact him and seriously pushing for him.

The Cardinals would be a perfect fit for Smoltz services but the only bad thing is that the Cardinals only want him for relief pitching so that might not work unless Smoltz agrees.

Now it was a shocker to find out that the Giants were serious about him but it does make sense if he goes there sense he is a sort of Greg Maddux esque and will be able to a mentor to that young staff.

So with all the three being in serious talks with Smoltz, I believe he will end up with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Lets see what happens.

My Try Out for the baseball squad

Well originally I was supposed to go with my bro Don to Lil Tokyo for a festival thing but unfortunately the plans got adjusted last second.

You see, yesterday I got called on to have a try out to play for a division 2 baseball team in Long Beach. I couldn't believe I was actually getting my chance to play again. The coach had called me and talked about needing a new player and he saw my stats from previous years and figured they would give me a shot to make the team. Of course I said yes for the opportunity because it meant a lot to me.

Just to give you a heads up, I have not played actual competitive baseball since March so you can imagine I was a little rusty.

So I'm at the game and I must admit, it's not easy trying to jump on an established team- and it's even more difficult for me since I'm not the most open person either.

Nonetheless, I was given my opportunity to show what I am capable of and I must say, I did an ok job. I was a little disappointed in my performance because I know I could have done a much better job and also because everyone on the team was straight up pro player status but hey, those were the cards that were dealt to me today. The best thing about it though was that we won the game so I was happy about that!

I'm hopeful I'll get a call back for next week so we see what happens.

Well that's all for now folks.

Sushi

is bomb!!!

Today I went to Joe's Sushi in off South St. and Lakewood Ave with my friend JD (@McKidding3) and Sarah.

Now I must say, the reason why we didn't go to the one in La Brea/Whittier is because we would have never of made it in time with all the traffic.

Nonetheless, like my first sentence states, sushi is bomb and the food at Joe's Sushi is straight up legit.

If you have never been there before, I suggest you go to the one in La Brea/Whittier since its bigger and the service is super chill.

Any who, Joe's Sushi is an all you can eat sushi bar and they literally make your food in front of you. Everything is straight up fresh and if you happen to get accustomed with the japanese sushi chefs there, they will make you secret dishes. They even give you free green tea ice cream! So therefore the place gets a 10/10 from me

Any ways, it was a good dinner and I'm glad I was able to go with my friends because it made it that much better.

I'm pretty exhausted from last night ( I got pwned at morongo with my friends Chente and Leva) so I might take a power nap

My 2 Cents on the whole Michael Vick deal

Look people you seriously need to stop complaining about the whole ordeal.

The guy deserves a second chance and I'm glad a team like the Eagles are giving him the opportunity to redeem himself.

What pisses me off is all those ridiculous eagles "fan" saying they will not support their team because of this; and all those people saying this was a bad move for this organization. I can promise you this: all those folks that are bitching about the Vick signing will do a full 180 once the Eagles are dominating their division- it will be like nothing ever happen and will welcome Vick with open arms.

Why?

Because winning games can cause that and it makes hypocrites out of those same "fans".

Nonetheless, this talking shit on Vick needs to stop.

Like T.O. said, (which I'm shocked I'm actually using his reference but only because it makes a lot of sense) there are people currently in the NFL who have done worse than Vick has done and no one even bothers to say anything about it. Its bullshit, so quit giving this guy such a hard time and let him be. He served his and paid his debt, if it wasn't good enough for you, how about you go to prison and try to survive.

Well that is all for now.

Recent Injuries in the World of Sports

Well earlier today (which you more than welcome to follow me on Twitter to get early updates) my sources had informed that Seattle Mariners 3rd Basemen Adrian Beltre is once again being placed on the 15 Day DL but this time it is for another reason.

You see Mr. Beltre feels that he doesn't have to wear a cup when playing baseball....boy was he wrong about that. During the last game, Beltre tried to field a hit in which took an awkward hop off his groin area. After the game in turned out there was internal bleeding in his testicle in which he now needs to have operated on.

Perhaps now he will reconsider about wearing a cup.

The Second injury in the world of sports...US Soccer Player Landon Donovan has been diagnosed with H1N1 virus....in case you don't know what that is, it's the swine Flu!

Now he didn't get this in Mexico but they were able to retrace where he did end up getting it at and it was Miami so there you go folks....go to Miami and get Swine Flu

Any who, that's all for now.

Hole in One!!!

So today at my second job, I was bored out of my mind so I had decided to play Wii Sports.

I've been doing this for maybe a week and I decided to practice playing golf on the Wii Sports since my friends always beat me and must say....I'm actually getting much better haha

At first my scores were like +10, always getting stupid water hazards on the last stage!

But now my score is a +2 so I'm guessing my wii golf skills are enhancing. Woo hooo.

The best part of it all is that today I did something I have never seen been done before on the Wii Sports....I made a hole in one!!

I was shock and stoked at the same time!!! I couldn't believe it! It was straight up legit and I even did the Tiger Woods fist pump haha

I felt like a pro!

If only I could do this in the RL.

One day perhaps.

Well it' still early in the day, perhaps I'll update again.

The reason for the title is because today was a down day....at least for my computer.

Someone was trying to hack onto my computer via my network yet they didn't realize I had mac and they were using windows tools which therefore were not able to fully connect fully with my computer.

So to take precaution, I reformatted my comp and start from fresh.

Coming Soon

Well this month I plan on going to see a few movies before school starts and I've already made up my mine which ones I want to go see. I wanted to see G.I. Joe but I haven't really heard that much great stuff about it so I'm not really sure if I should go watch it.

But regardless there are two movies that I am definitely going to go see: Inglorious Bastards and The Goods!!

Now I'm not a huge Tarantino fan but there's something about Inglorious Bastards that makes me want to go see it since the moment I first saw the trailer. It was if there was a heavenly light shining upon the myself and the movie trailer the first time I saw it and I was immediately sold. I remember watching it with my twin and I was like...."ooooooooooh alrighty then (in heavenly church music) we are definitely fucking watching this shit!!

In case you haven't seen the trailer yet, here it is:

The second movie is The Goods, Live Hard and Sell Hard ( or something like that) is a movie right up my alley. Jeremy Piven is a brilliant actor and I know he can sell a movie so I'm looking forward of laughing my ass off when I watch it. So far the trailers have been hilarious so I'm sold on it and I can't wait.

Here's the trailer as well:

Well summer is ending soon so I have to hurry up and do random things before my life goes out the window with school, so if you have any suggestions, let me know.

Oh n for some reason I know more than just two people read this thing, so if your reading this thing, say hi or follow me. Thanks

BJs during a Dodgers game...

Lol now I'm sure I got your attention with my headline and I'm sure your scratching your head thinking...is Bruce talking about getting a BJ during the dodgers game? But what I'm really talking about is my experience at the new BJs restaurant in Downey and how I was watching the Dodgers game there.

Now in case you didn't know, a new BJs restaurants opened this month in Downey, right were stonewood mall is located. Before you hop into your car and head out there, let me give you a warning: the place has horrible service! Now I understand that the place is new but in reality there are some things that shouldn't happen at a restaurant- such as messing up seating and having to wait 45mins for your food only for it to be cold but that's exactly what happened to my family today at BJs.

It was a complete joke and quite frankly I don't plan on going there any time soon so I don't recommand it to anyone. Fuck that place- One a scale of 1-10, I give an epic failure and to only add salt to the wound-the dodgers played another horrible game while I was at BJs!

Now the sports part:

We are slowly losing our lead in our division and the Dodgers need to knock that shit out or else they are going to be spending October at home! We had at some point at 10 game lead and now its merely 5.5 lead which in retrospect means that if the Dodgers suffer a bad streak, they can end up seeing themselves trailing another team!

So Dodgers, I'm calling you out! Pick your shit up and play like a champion- LA is due for world series and this our year!

Boondock Saints!!

Hey everyone!

I just got back from work and I'm exhausted but I made a promise to myself that I would update this blog daily as much as I could so here is today's edition.

BOONDOCK SAINTS or as I like to call it: BOONDOCK MOTHERFUCKING SAINTS is literally tied at first in my list as my favorite movies of all time. Now I wont reveal what it's tied with but I promise I will reveal later on in another post.

Anywho, in case you have seen this amazing movies, I'll give you two options: either a)kill yourself this instance or b)get ahold of that movie and watch immediately!!! I can literally promise you that you will enjoy it!.

Now back to the movie: Boondock Saints is a movie about two twin brothers who happen to hear a message from God who tells them to rid Boston from evil men. Now with the help of their best friends, who happens to be an errand boy for the mob, they start acting upon vigilantism and put the law into their hands. Throughout their journey you see how they acted on the message, and what ended up happening to them at the end.

Now I don't want to fully go into detail of the movie since I don't want to spoil it for you but I will tell you this: as your watching the movie, you will start to really question how society is really run and how things would be different if someone in the world would literally do what these brothers are doing.

I would like to consider that Boondock Saints is a movie that was very original when it came out since I had never seen anything like that before I saw that movie 6 years ago so it should really make an impact on you when you see it for the first time.

So make sure you pick it up!

That's all for now so....

Good Citizen of the Month

Ok this one is going to require you to go back to the golden years and think about your elementary years and perhaps your middle school years if your school was lame.

Any ways, today as I was driving when all of a sudden I saw this car with a sticker on it saying my child is the good citizen of month at blank school. I started thinking......what the fuck is the point of that award? I mean yes a school is promoting children to be good individuals/responsible but seriously, is the award necessary?

I mean I'm sure your thinking, gee Sawyer I bet you never got one of those awards but the reality of the fact is that I did receive that shit- multiple times to be exact, I don't really know why because as far as I know teachers hated the fact that my ADD was a distraction to all.

Now that I'm older and more wiser- I really don't see the point in handing out that award. I mean who really gives a shit if you got that award. It proves the point that the teacher liked you best either for being the smartest kid in the class or you were merely a teacher's pet.

What's even more sad than getting the award is having your parents actually place that shit on their car! I mean think about it....your parents are promoting that their child is a little teachers pet and wasn't good enough to get any other award besides the most pointless one available.

I am extremely grateful my parents never put that shit on their car or else who knows what my life would have end up like.

The moral of the story is this: schools please stop giving those pointless awards out and parents really need to set higher expectations for their children if they are going to be satisfied with a "Good Citizen of the month award"

(If you can find me a picture of one of those bumper stickers, let me know so I can put it up)

That is all for now.

Arizona Flavored Teas

Do you remember when you first had your first Arizona flavor tea? Now if you have no clue of what I'm talking about or merely have never bothered to get one before, I want you to slap yourself, stop reading this and the get the fuck off the chair and go buy one!!

Back to my point. I remember my first time buying my drink: I was walking with my good friends Pishoy "the Oil eater" Haroun and Matt Longo from Griffiths Middle school and we stopped at the dairy market/ liquor store on the corner of Florence and Tweety ( I think) Any ways, we were going to get our typical drinks at the time which usually were some brand of soda but on that particular day, the asian lady when up to us and was like (In a Miss. Swan voice) "Oh hi, try dis new drink....isha good for you, oh yes. go buy buy."

So we all looked at each other with an are you effin serious expression but after thinking it over and realizing we each only had like 2 bucks on us each, we were sold by the asian lady's pitch and we each bought one. I remember buying a kiwi strawberry one and from the moment I tasted the first drop, I felt an instant orgasmic sensation run throughout my body! I couldn't believe how good this drink was- it was far better than any other soda and the best thing was that it was only 99 cents!!!

It was such an amazing drink for such an amazing price. Since that day, I knew that if I were ever thirsty and was running low on the funds, I could depend on an Arizona Flavored Tea to save the day!

So get off your ass and go buy one and while your at it, get me one too please. Thanks

P.S. I think Pishoy was looking for an Oil Flavored Arizona Tea that day....LMAO

Loyalty

What is consider loyalty in a friendship? I'm sure there are multiple answers to that question but my answer is this:

It's being able to be their for your friend 24/7
It's about being to drop whatever your doing when your friend is in need
It's about remembering the little things that make that friendship strong between you guys/gals
It's about standing up up for your friend when everyone else is turning around or ignoring the injustice that is being done to your friend.
It's about being to tell each anything and understand that they won't judge you
It's about being able to be yourself and having them embrace you for that.
It's about being able to forgive when one has made a mistake.

In society today people have a difficulty understanding loyalty when it deal with friendships. Maybe people who swear they are your friends are the ones who will second guess standing up for you when someone is either putting you in danger or is merely bad mouthing you. If realized that in our everyday life, there are only a handful of friends one can really trust to fullest and give them their loyalty. The rest of the people in your life are not necessarily bad people but in reality they are merely consider acquaintances that come and go. It's important you understand the differences between the two because the last thing you want to do is take for granted someone who really is there for you and really sees you as part of their family.

Its unfortunate when individuals are blindsided by other impediments but it really puts at risk with what you have.

Now I'm not saying that you should second guess everybody but I am just saying that you should sit back and ask yourself, "who really is a friend and who is merely an acquaintance" because once you solve that question, its make things easier as to whom you should be looking out for a vice versa.

Friendship is a powerful thing because it develops into brotherhood/sisterhood that should not be taken for granted so before you move on with your day, perhaps you should stop what your doing and go say hi to your friends.

Living in the World Full of Treasure Chests

I was sitting in my car waiting for it to be 8:30 so I could go into work and I started thinking...Do you know what I've always wished we could have in this world?!?!?!? Treasure chest put all over the world that either had rupees or useful items.

Now I'm not talking about treasure chests as in the ones pirates would hide their booty in but the ones that could easily be found all over the world. Think about it how badass that would be!! How do you think Link, from Zelda, felt when he came up on one those suckers?!? I mean, in times like this recession, that would definitely help out the economy since one would be able to easily get money from them.

Imagine the feeling- you're walking around and you discover a treasure chest- as you're about to open it, you hear that awesome jingle and bam! You have a ruby rupee! Can you imagine had badass that must feel knowing you just made your paycheck of the week by finding a treasure chest that also plays a jingle when you open it!!!

Ahhhhh, now thats the high life.

But it would also be nice if it was possible to walk around on grass and cut away only to discover that it actually gave you money!!! But I guess there is already something like that.....its called gardening!! No wonder my people are always doing that shit! They knew the truth about cutting grass!!

Nonetheless, I still think it would be badass to live in a world like that. Until then, I guess I'll keep going to work and stick to playing my Zelda games!!

P.S. Here's a clip in case you have no idea of what I'm talking about:

Paul Scheer and Lost

Well I just came across this through my twitter feed and I felt I should pass this on to fellow lost fans.

First of all, I came across Paul Scheer when he was doing skits during Human Giant, which by the way if you have never heard of that show, go to youtube.com and check them out- they are effin amazing.

Ne who, well apparently he is an avid fan like myself but I guess who took more of an extreme to show how much of a fan he is- Paul is actually doing LOST art work which actually look pretty amazing. So go and support him!

Well if you happen to be wondering how his art looks like or just want to search another LOST fan's site, check him out at http://damoncarltonandapolarbear.com/dcpb/

This is our Year!

A few months ago on my twitter account, I made a bold prediction right around Interleague that this year's World Series would include the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees.

As the season continues, I'm still sticking to the prediction. Both teams are leading their division and both teams seem like they are destined to meet each other.

With all the trades that were made before the deadline and the more that will probably be made during the waiver period, I think regardless of which team gets another player, these teams are still going to meet. Many writers such as Jon Heyman and Ken Rosenthal like to wrap it up and give the title to teams such as the Phillies or the Red Sox but I for one don't agree with their reasoning especially after neither of those writers really give credit to any team except one named the Red Soxs or the Yankees so it kind of makes it difficult to trust their reasoning.

I guess you can say I'm bias since I've been rooting for the Dodgers since I was kid but the reality of the matter is that this truly is our year. This years Dodgers remind me of the Yankees that went on to win their first world series under the helm of Joe Torre.

Funny thing that both the Dodgers and the Yankees are being managed under Joe's so its only a matter of time before they both meet.

Nonetheless, I just wanted to write down some thoughts down and end it on this

The only sports writers/reporters that actually know their stuff in the baseball world are: Buster Olney and Peter Gammons. Those are two guys I actually respect and listen to so everyone else can either follow in their footsteps or jump off a cliff and don't waste the time of the fans.

Reading Books........The real truth about it....

So before you ask yourself.....does Sawyer really know how to read...sit back and enjoy the post.

Growing up I hated reading. It was time consuming and english was secondary to me.

I never like the fact that there were hardly any pictures in the books and I hate the fact that sometimes you would have to read books that smell like shit....you know what I mean..think back when you were in elementary school and you had to do a book report; 7/10 of the books given to you by the teacher smelled which only made that much more worse to read.

Nonetheless, I would do everything possible/imaginable to make sure I could avoid having to read anything which meant having others do my work for me or completely lie to the teacher and convince I already turned in the report and that she misplaced. Unfortunately sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't.

The ironic part of everything was that throughout my childhood, I had the whole collection of Goosebumps books!! I maybe only read like 4 out of the 50 books my parents bought me but I made sure those were the best of the group haha.

Regardless, that was my life growing up as a kid...I emphasize as a kid because one I got older I realized that reading isn't that bad and there are actually good shit out there in the world that are good reads.

I'm still picky as to what I'm going to read; It either has to have pictures (lmao yes I know not many adult books have pictures) or be really interesting/recommended to me! I literally never read anything that is school related. You can ask anyone who knows me, I don't read my school books because I see it as pointless as long as I some how get the notes.

So as time as passed and I have gotten older, I am reading more and more. I even started reading illustrated books...yes some might be consider comics....but they were made on a hardcover which makes them books!!! So no hating!

Any who, I really recommend you read "Mad Love" by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm. Its a Batman book focused on the animated series of the 90's which therefore means it's good! The book is filled with short stories and sort of focuses on the madness that occurs with certain characters such as Harley Quinn, The Joker, Batman, Poison Ivy, Bat Girl, etc

Well I've been blabbing for a long time now so Ima wrap it up.... the moral of the story is this: don't read shitty books and avoid the smelly ones. If your bored out of your mind, make sure you look for the books that are recommended by friends and of course by me because I promise I will not let you down...more than once =P

Adios

The First...

Well hello there.

Now that I got my computer....the world is about to change.

I told myself I would start a blog once I got my pro and here I am; ready to throw myself into the ocean filled with sharks.

What kind of things should I warn you about if you happen to come across this blog...well expect a lot of things:

Sports
Randomness
Life
Video Games
BATMAN
Books
Adventures

and porn......

Sike!!

Any who, to tell you a lil bit about myself: My name is Brian Sawyer, but I go by Sawyer, Bruce, Brian, Captain and some times Savior of all ( jk on the last one unless u want to haha)

I am 21 and going to be graduating from USC this semester in which afterwards I plan on either being the President of the United States or work for ESPN.....

I will soon be writing my book about graduating college the fun way, which perhaps I might give a few snippets every once in a while in this blog

I consider myself a genius when it comes to sports- since i treat it like a religion and I pwn in fantasy sports

I consider my life to be a novela and full of random shit that at times only seems like it can only happen in a book or movie.

Any who, I'm sure as time goes on you'll be able to get a better understanding as to who I am and what I am about.

Let's hope this is the start of something great.

To get you all started......try to figure out who this dee dee dee is in this clip
