Future HoF John Smoltz

Well well well, look who we have here?

SP/RP John Smoltz and he's available to sign onto any team he wants.

Where is he going to go?

Many experts believe that he will end up in the National League but I would like to go into a deeper analysis as to where exactly he might end up at.

But before I get into it, let me give you a heads up and informed that I do have sources (who work for the league) who let me know the 411 of what's going on so that means, just like the guys from Baseball Tonight, I know the same people they know.

So lets begin.

Before John Smoltz had gone to the Red Sox, he was the SP/RP of the Atlanta Braves and the only two reason why he left the Braves was because they were not giving him the money he wanted and he wanted to be a full time starter.

With that said, before John Smoltz was designated for assignment, he was asked if he wanted to be part of the relief rotation but he refused because he still thought he had something left in the tank. Therefore, any team that is inquiring about should know that he wants to be a starting pitcher and it will be rare if he decides to become a relief pitcher for a new team.

Now according to my sources, there are three actual teams that are in serious talks with Smoltz and those three teams are: The Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco Giants.

The Dodgers desperately need a new pitcher and Smoltz fits that need. It is understood that the Dodgers were the first to contact him and seriously pushing for him.

The Cardinals would be a perfect fit for Smoltz services but the only bad thing is that the Cardinals only want him for relief pitching so that might not work unless Smoltz agrees.

Now it was a shocker to find out that the Giants were serious about him but it does make sense if he goes there sense he is a sort of Greg Maddux esque and will be able to a mentor to that young staff.

So with all the three being in serious talks with Smoltz, I believe he will end up with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Lets see what happens.
