Growing up I hated reading. It was time consuming and english was secondary to me.
I never like the fact that there were hardly any pictures in the books and I hate the fact that sometimes you would have to read books that smell like shit....you know what I mean..think back when you were in elementary school and you had to do a book report; 7/10 of the books given to you by the teacher smelled which only made that much more worse to read.
Nonetheless, I would do everything possible/imaginable to make sure I could avoid having to read anything which meant having others do my work for me or completely lie to the teacher and convince I already turned in the report and that she misplaced. Unfortunately sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't.
The ironic part of everything was that throughout my childhood, I had the whole collection of Goosebumps books!! I maybe only read like 4 out of the 50 books my parents bought me but I made sure those were the best of the group haha.
Regardless, that was my life growing up as a kid...I emphasize as a kid because one I got older I realized that reading isn't that bad and there are actually good shit out there in the world that are good reads.
I'm still picky as to what I'm going to read; It either has to have pictures (lmao yes I know not many adult books have pictures) or be really interesting/recommended to me! I literally never read anything that is school related. You can ask anyone who knows me, I don't read my school books because I see it as pointless as long as I some how get the notes.
So as time as passed and I have gotten older, I am reading more and more. I even started reading illustrated books...yes some might be consider comics....but they were made on a hardcover which makes them books!!! So no hating!
Any who, I really recommend you read "Mad Love" by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm. Its a Batman book focused on the animated series of the 90's which therefore means it's good! The book is filled with short stories and sort of focuses on the madness that occurs with certain characters such as Harley Quinn, The Joker, Batman, Poison Ivy, Bat Girl, etc

Well I've been blabbing for a long time now so Ima wrap it up.... the moral of the story is this: don't read shitty books and avoid the smelly ones. If your bored out of your mind, make sure you look for the books that are recommended by friends and of course by me because I promise I will not let you down...more than once =P
Adios
