My Try Out for the baseball squad

Well originally I was supposed to go with my bro Don to Lil Tokyo for a festival thing but unfortunately the plans got adjusted last second.

You see, yesterday I got called on to have a try out to play for a division 2 baseball team in Long Beach. I couldn't believe I was actually getting my chance to play again. The coach had called me and talked about needing a new player and he saw my stats from previous years and figured they would give me a shot to make the team. Of course I said yes for the opportunity because it meant a lot to me.

Just to give you a heads up, I have not played actual competitive baseball since March so you can imagine I was a little rusty.

So I'm at the game and I must admit, it's not easy trying to jump on an established team- and it's even more difficult for me since I'm not the most open person either.

Nonetheless, I was given my opportunity to show what I am capable of and I must say, I did an ok job. I was a little disappointed in my performance because I know I could have done a much better job and also because everyone on the team was straight up pro player status but hey, those were the cards that were dealt to me today. The best thing about it though was that we won the game so I was happy about that!

I'm hopeful I'll get a call back for next week so we see what happens.

Well that's all for now folks.

Boondock Saints!!

Hey everyone!

I just got back from work and I'm exhausted but I made a promise to myself that I would update this blog daily as much as I could so here is today's edition.

BOONDOCK SAINTS or as I like to call it: BOONDOCK MOTHERFUCKING SAINTS is literally tied at first in my list as my favorite movies of all time. Now I wont reveal what it's tied with but I promise I will reveal later on in another post.

Anywho, in case you have seen this amazing movies, I'll give you two options: either a)kill yourself this instance or b)get ahold of that movie and watch immediately!!! I can literally promise you that you will enjoy it!.

Now back to the movie: Boondock Saints is a movie about two twin brothers who happen to hear a message from God who tells them to rid Boston from evil men. Now with the help of their best friends, who happens to be an errand boy for the mob, they start acting upon vigilantism and put the law into their hands. Throughout their journey you see how they acted on the message, and what ended up happening to them at the end.

Now I don't want to fully go into detail of the movie since I don't want to spoil it for you but I will tell you this: as your watching the movie, you will start to really question how society is really run and how things would be different if someone in the world would literally do what these brothers are doing.

I would like to consider that Boondock Saints is a movie that was very original when it came out since I had never seen anything like that before I saw that movie 6 years ago so it should really make an impact on you when you see it for the first time.

So make sure you pick it up!

That's all for now so....

Good Citizen of the Month

Ok this one is going to require you to go back to the golden years and think about your elementary years and perhaps your middle school years if your school was lame.

Any ways, today as I was driving when all of a sudden I saw this car with a sticker on it saying my child is the good citizen of month at blank school. I started thinking......what the fuck is the point of that award? I mean yes a school is promoting children to be good individuals/responsible but seriously, is the award necessary?

I mean I'm sure your thinking, gee Sawyer I bet you never got one of those awards but the reality of the fact is that I did receive that shit- multiple times to be exact, I don't really know why because as far as I know teachers hated the fact that my ADD was a distraction to all.

Now that I'm older and more wiser- I really don't see the point in handing out that award. I mean who really gives a shit if you got that award. It proves the point that the teacher liked you best either for being the smartest kid in the class or you were merely a teacher's pet.

What's even more sad than getting the award is having your parents actually place that shit on their car! I mean think about it....your parents are promoting that their child is a little teachers pet and wasn't good enough to get any other award besides the most pointless one available.

I am extremely grateful my parents never put that shit on their car or else who knows what my life would have end up like.

The moral of the story is this: schools please stop giving those pointless awards out and parents really need to set higher expectations for their children if they are going to be satisfied with a "Good Citizen of the month award"

(If you can find me a picture of one of those bumper stickers, let me know so I can put it up)

That is all for now.

Arizona Flavored Teas

Do you remember when you first had your first Arizona flavor tea? Now if you have no clue of what I'm talking about or merely have never bothered to get one before, I want you to slap yourself, stop reading this and the get the fuck off the chair and go buy one!!

Back to my point. I remember my first time buying my drink: I was walking with my good friends Pishoy "the Oil eater" Haroun and Matt Longo from Griffiths Middle school and we stopped at the dairy market/ liquor store on the corner of Florence and Tweety ( I think) Any ways, we were going to get our typical drinks at the time which usually were some brand of soda but on that particular day, the asian lady when up to us and was like (In a Miss. Swan voice) "Oh hi, try dis new drink....isha good for you, oh yes. go buy buy."

So we all looked at each other with an are you effin serious expression but after thinking it over and realizing we each only had like 2 bucks on us each, we were sold by the asian lady's pitch and we each bought one. I remember buying a kiwi strawberry one and from the moment I tasted the first drop, I felt an instant orgasmic sensation run throughout my body! I couldn't believe how good this drink was- it was far better than any other soda and the best thing was that it was only 99 cents!!!

It was such an amazing drink for such an amazing price. Since that day, I knew that if I were ever thirsty and was running low on the funds, I could depend on an Arizona Flavored Tea to save the day!

So get off your ass and go buy one and while your at it, get me one too please. Thanks

P.S. I think Pishoy was looking for an Oil Flavored Arizona Tea that day....LMAO

Living in the World Full of Treasure Chests

I was sitting in my car waiting for it to be 8:30 so I could go into work and I started thinking...Do you know what I've always wished we could have in this world?!?!?!? Treasure chest put all over the world that either had rupees or useful items.

Now I'm not talking about treasure chests as in the ones pirates would hide their booty in but the ones that could easily be found all over the world. Think about it how badass that would be!! How do you think Link, from Zelda, felt when he came up on one those suckers?!? I mean, in times like this recession, that would definitely help out the economy since one would be able to easily get money from them.

Imagine the feeling- you're walking around and you discover a treasure chest- as you're about to open it, you hear that awesome jingle and bam! You have a ruby rupee! Can you imagine had badass that must feel knowing you just made your paycheck of the week by finding a treasure chest that also plays a jingle when you open it!!!

Ahhhhh, now thats the high life.

But it would also be nice if it was possible to walk around on grass and cut away only to discover that it actually gave you money!!! But I guess there is already something like that.....its called gardening!! No wonder my people are always doing that shit! They knew the truth about cutting grass!!

Nonetheless, I still think it would be badass to live in a world like that. Until then, I guess I'll keep going to work and stick to playing my Zelda games!!

P.S. Here's a clip in case you have no idea of what I'm talking about:
